Runes

The 24 Elder Futhark runes, a pull, a three-rune spread, and your name in runes.

I Ching Coin Toss

Think of your question. Toss three coins six times and build your hexagram from the bottom up. Heads count 3, tails count 2. A 6 or a 9 is a changing line.

How does this work?
  1. Think of one real question. Not "will I be rich," more like "what should I know about this job?"
  2. Toss three coins. Heads count 3, tails count 2, so every toss adds up to 6, 7, 8 or 9.
  3. 7 is a solid line (yang). 8 is a broken line (yin).
  4. 6 and 9 are "changing lines." They are so strong they flip into their opposite: a 6 becomes solid and a 9 becomes broken.
  5. Do it six times. The hexagram builds from the bottom up, like a house, so your first toss is the bottom line.
  6. Your hexagram is where you are now. If you got changing lines, the second hexagram shows where things are heading.

The meanings here are short takes on the traditional ones from the Richard Wilhelm and James Legge translations. The full I Ching is on the shelf in The Library.
